1st Annual Neighborhood Watch Event

Thanks to everyone who participated in our first annual neighborhood watch event. It was attended by about 100 people + Muskego Police. The officers stated that our neighborhood has lower crime than average in Muskego, due to our tight community.

Top take-aways include:
Lock your vehicles in your driveway.
Keep your lamppost in working order.
Consider a motion detector light, especially in your backyard.
Unfortunately, egging & such is commonplace, especially during summer months.
Getting license plate #'s should be a top priority if you see suspicious activity.
Curfew is 11PM for those 17 years and younger.

Phil, our Association President, also stated we had many damaged trees, due to the storm and the beavers, which needed to be removed. This was an unexpected expense so our neighborhood account is a little lower than usual -- but we're still doing OK financially. The beaver dam has also been removed. Much of this manual labor is done by our Association Board members, in order to save all of us money. Be sure to thank them for all they do!!!!

I'd also like to thank everyone who brought snacks and beverages to our event. I'd say the beer tasting was a hit -- and those margaritas weren't too bad either! I have a collection of items that was left at our house; stop by to pick up your dishes, umbrellas...

Stay safe + see you at next year's event!
