Received via different watch group:
CITY OF MUSKEGO POLICE DEPARTMENT
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM
September 15, 2009
Hello!
How long is our extra summer going to last? It has continued to be beautiful outside late into the day. As enjoyable as these bonus days have been, the bad guys also like the nice weather for their activities, so we all need to continue to keep our eyes open and report any suspicious activity.
We received an email from one of our block watch captains regarding some information she heard. Rather than address just one of you, I thought I would send this letter out to everyone so we can all stay on the same page. I was asked about a rumor that New Berlin Police caught two people that may be responsible for burglaries in New Berlin and Muskego. While I certainly don’t speak for the New Berlin Police Department, I can tell you that they have developed “persons of interest” with regard to daytime burglaries in the area. At the present time there is not enough evidence to directly link these subjects to burglaries in Muskego, but we are working on it.
I hope that you all understand that we will provide you with as much information as possible so you can keep your family safe and also help us catch the bad guys. That being said, from time to time there will be some information that we will not release, so as not to compromise our investigations. But rest assured, we will never withhold information that will help keep you safe.
I am able to provide you with descriptions of suspects in several daytime burglaries. These are not related to each other, but are both committing daytime burglaries.
The first suspects are two male whites working together. Suspect #1 is in his mid 40’s, 6’00”, 210 lbs, brn/brn. Suspect #2 is in his late 20’s, 5’10”, 170 lbs, brn/brn. The vehicles these subjects operate include a silver 2002 Chevy Tahoe, Lic# 434LUT, a 2003 Brown Chevy Impala 4 dr, Lic#240MXM, a 2002 tan Mercury Sable, Lic #920MZB, or a green Jeep Cherokee.
The next subject is not related to the previous two. He is a male black in a purple Dodge Neon, who was seen in the area of a daytime burglary in New Berlin on Sept 4.
If you see any of these subjects, DO NOT APPROACH OR CONFRONT THEM! CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY, MAINTAIN YOUR DISTANCE, AND BE A GOOD WITNESS.
Finally, Waukesha County Sheriff sent a memo out regarding a report in the Town of Eagle. It was reported that a male white, 50-60 years old, with white hair, stopped a young girl who was walking home after being dropped off by the bus and asked her if she wanted a ride home. The subject left the area when the girl’s older brother approached. He was driving a red, 4-door car. There is no information to connect him to Muskego, but it is a good idea to review your stranger danger training with your kids.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or any other member of your police department. Thank you for your time. Have a great, safe day!
